Klick Photopoint Passes with Flying Colours

The UK's leading independent photo retailer, Klick Photopoint, has experienced a surge in demand for passport photographs following reports that many traditional passport photo booths are failing to meet strict, new guidelines issued by the Passport Office.

Recent figures show that around 8,000 Scots photographs had been returned after they were found to inadequately meet the new criteria, which is based on international biometric standards in a bid to help tighten global security. As a result Klick Photopoint and Max Spielmann have experienced an increase in the number of people opting for their manual service to ensure their photographs pass first time.

The high quality service is carried out by a trained member of staff, ensuring that positioning is accurate and fulfils the required criteria each time a picture is taken and is a much easier option than a traditional photo booth for taking pictures of babies or young children. The photographs also cater for bus and train passes, driving licences, identity cards and American visas, which are different in size to normal passport pictures.

Sandy Kennedy from Klick Photopoint explains: "Our service has always been popular with people who are uncomfortable using a photo booth and would rather have the guarantee that comes with someone taking a picture for them, especially for those renewing their passport in a rush at the last minute, which is quite often the case.

"Since the new passport guidelines were introduced in September, demand has increased considerably and we believe this may be a result of the number of pictures being rejected by the passport office. With our service, customers can rest assured that they will receive a quality picture within the guidelines and if not, the pictures will be retaken at no additional cost."

Klick Photopoint's passport photo service costs £3.49, less than a traditional photo booth. For further information about any of Klick Photopoint's products or services, log onto www.klick.co.uk
